Stevens model 820B 12ga pump. Registered Users do not see the above ad. Congratulations on the purchase of your new firearm. You are now part of the Savage Sports Corporation family of quality firearms and archery equipment/ accessories, which includes Savage Arms, Inc. Have an instruction manual for every firearm you own. Unlike most manufacturers, Savage chose not to mark their shotgun barrels with standard choke markings of Full, Modified, Improved Cylinder and Cylinder. Instead they chose to use a series of asterisk (.) marks as code to specify the choke constriction of a given barrel. Post subject: Stevens 820b re-assembly. Posted: Sun Sep 05. And I think I need an owners manual or some sort of manual that shows the gun blown up, etc.

I recently inherited a Stevens 820B 12ga shotgun from my grandfather's passing. I have been looking for information on how to take it apart, there is a problem with it not moving the shells from the tube up. I have checked many sites for manuals or how to field strip/take apart one of these shotguns.
Thanks for any help in advance, appreciate it.
found this site in my search for anyone who has been having difficulty finding certain manuals. Although it was not of help in my current dilemma it did provide a lot of info and may help others. page7b

Savage / Stevens Pump Shotguns

The illustration shown below was scanned off a Savage factory parts list, using factory reference numbers, which are converted to factory part numbers. This is important as about all obsolete parts suppliers use ONLYfactory or closely associated numbers where ever possible so everyone is on the same page.

Note, for some of the older firearms, many over 100 years old, the factories never used what we now know as assembly drawings, but just views of many of the component parts & possibly randomly placed as seen below

The parts listed below are for your identification purposes only.
The author of this website DOES NOT have any parts.

There was a previous model, the 520/560 which was a totally different model

The above illustration is for a Stevens 67D series

This firearm series had many changes reflected by differentseries. The basic gun was the Savage model 30 which was more of adeluxe firearm usually utilizing a ventilated rib, takedown barrels & walnutwood. The Stevens / Springfield guns usually were plain solid (nonremovable) barrels & had birch wood. The early models hada push button safety behind the trigger, (as seen above) while the later series utilized atop tang slider safety button (as seen below). It is about impossible to define allthe variations in the small space available here. Original firing pinswere a single part, while the later ones used a 2 piece unit. Operatingslide handles & corresponding bars were changed about 3 times. This series of guns were produced from 1958 to 1989.

Since most of these parts are now long obsolete, the parts listed below are what are currently available as aftermarket parts
